What this one was about.

Five curators traveled through three Nordic capitals over eleven days — Helsinki (September 22–25), Stockholm (September 25–29), and Copenhagen (September 29–October 2) — meeting hosts, curators, and artists at each stop.

In Helsinki, the group was hosted by Arvid van der Rijt of Frame Finland. In Stockholm, under the direction of CPR Europe Interim Director Natasha-Marie Llorens, curators took part in a breakfast studio visit with artist Sam Hultin, visits to Botkyrka Konsthall and Södertälje Art Gallery, a studio visit with filmmaker and artist Santiago Mostyn, meetings at Accelerator (curator Therese Kellner) and Tensta Konsthall (director Cecilia Widenheim), a studio visit with sculptor Johanna Gustafsson Fürst, and a morning at Mint with director Emily Fahlén followed by an afternoon of studio visits and a presentation at IASPIS. In Copenhagen, the program was hosted by Rhea Dall, Director and Chief Curator of O—Overgaden.

The program was supported by the Danish Arts Foundation, the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York, Frame Finland, IASPIS, and Nordisk Kulturfond, and led by CPR Founding Director Carmen Ferreyra together with Natasha-Marie Llorens, Arvid van der Rijt, and Rhea Dall.

Josefina Barcia

Curator, based in New York

Argentine curator based in New York whose practice bridges contemporary art, performance, sound and archival research within Latin American and Global South contexts. She holds an MA in Curatorial Studies from Bard College, and in 2026 curated Monitor Yin Yang by Matías Duville for the Argentine Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale. From 2011 to 2021 she worked in the Curatorial Department at MALBA, Buenos Aires, and later as a Hartwig Foundation Curatorial Fellow at Performa, New York.

Alexander Burenkov

Curator, Cultural Strategist & Writer, based in Paris

Paris-based curator, cultural strategist and writer working at the intersection of contemporary art, alternative pedagogy and artistic direction, exploring exhibitions as epistemic and experiential infrastructures. His roles include Curator (with Nicolas Bourriaud) of Ceremony at La Monnaie de Paris, Founding Head of Curatorial Practices at the Moscow School of Contemporary Art, and founder of Yūgen App; his writing has appeared in Artforum, Spike and Foam.

Tea Kříž

Chief Curator, Museum of Fine Arts Lázně, Liberec

Chief Curator and contemporary art researcher at the Museum of Fine Arts Lázně in Liberec, working between Prague, Liberec and internationally as an editor and critic. Her curatorial practice focuses on environmental issues, landscapes and materiality, approaching curating as a metaphor for tending a garden; she has held fellowships at Delfina Foundation, London, MuseumsQuartier Wien, and Viafarini, Milan.

Nadine Peters

Public Art Curator, John Hansard Gallery, London

London-based Public Art Curator at John Hansard Gallery, working on the Co-Creating Public Space programme in Southampton, with a practice exploring art, place and community through socially engaged approaches to public space. She also works as Public Realm Art Consultant for Southwark Council, and was awarded the Rank Foundation Memorial Award (2026) for an international public art research fellowship in New York.

Zoë Latzer

Curator & Director of Public Programs, ICA San José

Writer and curator based in the San Francisco Bay Area, serving as Curator and Director of Public Programs at the Institute of Contemporary Art San José. Her practice explores technology, mythology and speculative worldbuilding through immersive exhibitions, including Esteban Samayoa: Blood Be Water and In a Knotted World; she holds an MA in Curatorial Practice from California College of the Arts.
