Two residencies, both fully funded, both open call.

A professional development residency for artists who have recently relocated to New York City or plan to, with a focus on the city's LatinX community. Over two weeks, up to twenty local and international artists meet the galleries, institutions and arts professionals who make a career here possible — alongside practical sessions on grant writing, self-representation and navigating the city's funding landscape.

Tuition is covered and a stipend is provided, varying by edition. Accommodation, local transport and meals are not covered.

About Hello New York!

Our signature program, and a research residency that moves: each year The Nomadic settles into a different regional art scene. Each year we select up to eight curators, depending on the edition, for a fully-funded immersion in a regional art scene. Daily studio visits, institutional meetings and readings on local socio-political history, hosted by the curators and institutions who work there.

International flights, accommodation and some meals are covered.

Initiatives built around specific opportunities rather than a fixed calendar: the CPR² storefront residency in Williamsburg, The Apartment in Buenos Aires, a touring film festival, and the CPR Exhibition Award — whose 2017 edition was selected by Rirkrit Tiravanija.
