Three weeks inside an art scene you did not grow up in.

Each edition moves to a different region and is built with the curators and institutions on the ground. Days are spent in artist studios and arts institutions, complemented by readings on local socio-political history, art and culture, and the residency closes with a public presentation that regularly draws an audience of over a hundred.

Cohorts are small — up to eight curators, depending on what a given edition's funding covers — and attendance for the full three to four weeks is required, because the schedule is conceptually connected rather than modular.

The program is free to attend: international flights, accommodation and some meals are covered.
